After the news broke on this Disney Travel Site, I have been searching all over for more news- I keep posting abou all the changes that are coming, but I see that sometimes they're a little scattered brained- here is a sort of glossary of the different places and additions I'm talking about and how they will differ from what already exists.
The Town Center (Expected to open in 2016)
A "one-of-a-kind shopping and dining experiences along a promenade" with Spanish Revival architecture. It takes the place of the old E-G parking lots
The Landing (Expected to open in Early 2015)
Disney announced that the Landing would be home to "inspired dining, retail and beautiful waterfront views." In addition to existing shops, it will also feature:
There will be a water causeway (and bridge) that will connect this area to the rest of Disney Springs, but other to an Expansion of the World of Disney store, it will be mostly the same as it is now. (It's the most beloved area, so I'm glad to hear this.)
The West Side
Keeping with its current attitude, it will be turned into a two- story shopping and dining area, including Food Truck Park. "exuberant atmosphere with lively entertainment, along with a series of new elevated spaces that provide both shade and an overlook to the activity below."
the first parking garage is expected to open at some point in 2014.
