The Rainforest Cafe has had some ugly construction scaffolding around it for a while now, leaving guests wondering if the mountain peak was getting removed altogether.
Rumors that this construction meant the end for the Rainforest Cafe have been laid to rest. It was actually getting an awesome new lounge at the base of the volcano. The Lava Lounge has been a great success so far and continues to grow in popularity, despite the hideous construction going on around it for Disney Springs.
Surprisingly enough, the menu is full of fresh seafood items. Maybe that's because it's on the water front? I'm not exactly sure. There are sliders and other great appetizer sized portions along with the extensive drink menu that Rainforest has always offered inside.

The outdoor bar looks pretty cool, but it just doesn't have the same atmosphere and spirit that the interior has. Sure, it has light up walls- but where is the magic?
The top of the volcano basically breathes fire, so hopefully there won't be any technical issues with it (like when the aquarium at the bar in the T-Rex cafe busted and flooded the place. In case you hadn't heard, yes, that did really happen.
